"Action Jackson" here with some bad news out of Foxborough: Rob Gronkowski did not travel with the New England Patriots to Arizona for their Sunday Night Football match-up with the Cardinals. He has been dealing with an injured hamstring since August 15th, and it is severe enough to force him to miss the opening weekend of NFL games. This will have a major impact on the game; young quarterback Jimmy Garappolo won't have his security blanket to throw to, the Patriots offense won't be able to rely on him for his big-play ability, and the Arizona defense will have an easier night without number 87 on the field.
If you have Gronk on your fantasy teams like I do, I suggest resting him and picking up a new TE, like Oakland's Clive Walford or Gronk's back-up, Martellus Bennett. Bennett will receive all of Gronkowski's snaps, and Walford will experience a new role in Oakland's passing offense. Good luck to you and your fantasy teams, and here's hoping Gronk heals up fast. --JAJ
