Point Gaurd1: Steph "Gawd" CurryThe Gawd himself is back and better than ever after a somewhat subpar finals performance that has given him the motivation to come back better than ever. Leg injury gone, back at full strength, Steph will have even more open opportunities to get his shots up with the Warriors adding KD. Plus he should be coming back pissed off after the disrespected afforded to him by the pundits not ranking him #1. Looking for another monster season from the back to back unanimous MVP. 2: Shaun LivingstonMaybe the best back up PG in the league, at 6'7" with a deadly turnaround jumper he can nail anywhere inside the three point line (though there's footage of him working on his three this offseason). He's got a great veterans eye for the court and finds the open man. Should be a 6th man of the year candidate. Shooting GuardKlay ThompsonKlay's improvement is almost unheard of, the way he has skyrocketed since he was drafted from Wazzu (go cougs). His jumper is strait butter, he has developed a deadly dribble drive attack, and is a top 5 defensive guard in the League. He not sacrificing shit, and will be eating all season 2A: Ian ClarkI have Clark at 2A because I'm not sure if he or McCaw will be the back up SG this season. Ian Clark has played minimal minutes last season, and while he has showed sparks, he has a huge chance to step up as the back up 2 this year. 2B: Patrick McCawThis dude showed out against Toronto in Vancouver to start the preseason off, which made me put him on this list. I know it's a very small sample size, but this is one of the few places on the team the Warriors have the opportunity to get minutes in the rotation. Small Forward1: Kevin DurantIt still doesn't feel real. The warriors now have 2 of the top 3 players in the NBA. Kd is unstoppable on offense, a 7 footer who can dribble like a guard, pull up from 30, beat your center in the post, then go to the other side of the court and get a block on any player on your team. Super death lineup on deck. 2: Andre IguodalaThe ageless wonder, spirtiual leader of this team who should win the 6th man of the year every year is the glue that keeps this team on the right track. He councils the young guns and keep the stars with their head on strait, Andre almost feels like an extension of Steve Kerr on the court the way he leads this team. He is also part of what will be the deadliest lineup in the NBA with Steph Klay Andre KD and Dray. Power ForwardDraymond GreenThe heart and soul of the Defense, who is always in the running for DPOY, Draymond has expanded his offensive game to become a Pseudo Point at certain points on the court, is one of the few players in the NBA who can play the 5 and the team be fine with him running the break. He is selfless with the ball and developed a nice driving dunk and 3 point shot to become a splash cousin. He may be the most important player for team cohesiveness on the court, and shows up in the clutch dropping 37 in game 7 of the finals. 2: David WestA very solid back up 4 who can play the 5 if needed, was a huge vet min pick up for the Warriors who have a lot of slack to pick up after their losses of Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezili. He has a nice midrange game and can score in spurts. He will have to be a big part of this second unit so the fall off isn't drastic after the starters. 3: Kevon LooneyI can't get a read on this guy, but there is not much of a sample size to judge off of, due to his injury and low minutes. I think he has a solid midrange jumper, got some hight and rebounding ability this team is dearly missing. Hopefully he can get into the rotation. Note: Damian Jones not listed due to injury CenterZaza PachuliaFirst off, second pitch is absolutely legendary. Second, this is the one relatively unknown about this team: will Zaza be able to fit into the system, pass the ball cohesively and be enough of a difference maker inside to be a valuable starting 5. I think it make take him awhile to get there, but this guys a vet and will learn the system well enough to help out this team. 2A Anderson Varejão..... sigh. I hate that I have to put this dude on here as the back up center, and i'm hoping 2B and Damian Jones will take his minutes in the forceable future. For whatever reason, Steve Kerr absolutely loves him and i cannot fathom why. 2B: Javale McgeeI really, really hope Javale makes this team because dude is hilarious. If he can figure out his role relatively quickly and just grab rebounds all game. Has the potential to be an awesome back up 5. There goes my 2016-17 Golden State Warriors Lineup and I think we can all agree this season needs to hurry up and get here as fast as possible. Game 1 is Tuesday October 25th, T minus 23 days!!
