It is the first day of fall and I almost forgot how much I LOVE Thursday's in the fall and all they represent. I'm not talking Bonfire's, Sweaters, or even pumpkins spice latte's (which are delicious IMO), but Thursday Night Football being the begging of the shit show that is a full weekend parked on my couch watching any game I can get my eyes on. This week, the NFL got it right, by basically giving all of the NFL a night to bitch about how much better this game would be if hitler Goodell hadn't suspended Brady for literally doing nothing. I digress, Lets get into this Thursday Night Matchup. Texans vs. Patriots (even)If you were to look at this game logically, this should be a no brainer. Pats have an untested third string QB who's never seen the field, and is a relatively unknown entity. The Texans defense is STOUT, JJ Watt is the best defensive player in the league, they have a top 3 front 7. On the Offensive side of the ball, Deandre Hopkins is a top 5 receiver and lamar miller is a STUD RB.
Here's the problem with all that: the state and rules of nature seem not to apply to the Pats. Qb's go down, star tight ends don't play, injury's across the board and they still just get the job done. Bill Belichick is a God amongst coaches and is getting up there in the convo for greatest NFL head coach of all time (sorry Bill Walsh). With Gronk coming back, I think they find a way to get a W. My Pick Patriots (even)

Falcons vs. Saints (-3)Our Monday night matchup brings us down south for a matchup between two NFC rivals. This game is shaping up to be a track meet, and with the over at 52.5 I would still hammer the over.
Both teams have high powered throwing offenses with Qb's with big arms. While the Saints have the edge at QB by a mile, the falcons are surperior at all other positions. Look out for Devonta Freeman to have a huge game this week, especially since he's been quiet this season he's due for a breakout game. I see Julio Jones making mince meat of the Saints Secondary as well. I'm loving the spread here so my pick is.... My Pick Falcons (+3) "Action" Jackson here with a quick recap of my Oakland Raiders' loss to the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday.
Offense: Derek Carr is really developing into a franchise quarterback. I am very pleased with his progress; he checks the play at the line, he makes his audibles, he makes his reads, make all the throws to our increasingly skilled receivers and tight ends, and he can get out of bounds and move the chains with his legs. I like him. He's almost a young Brett Favre. Don't blame me, Favre said so himself. Our offensive line is excellent, they keep his jersey clean, and our running backs are doing great. Offense wasn't our issue in this game. They scored points, they got great yardage, and they are actually one of the better units in the NFL. Defense: Oh, wait, they play defense in the NFL? I couldn't tell, because our defense has been atrocious these past two games. We made all these free agent signings, we drafted young defensive players, we have Khalil Mack, and yet we have failed to stop anybody. Granted, this is the NFL and everyone is excellent at what they do, otherwise, why be there, but seriously? Sean Smith can't play press coverage for two straight weeks? Malcolm Smith gets beat like he stole something every time a tight end goes out for a pass? Yeah, no. Not for me. We're 1-1, same as the Green Bay Packers, so keep hope alive? Eh, maybe. Special Teams: Sebastian Janikowski, our kicker, missed a crucial kick. Taiwan Jones, our returner who solely returns kicks and punts, fumbled a kick return. The punt team failed to cover a punt that almost went for a score, only saved by a horse collar tackle by our punter. Our punter. Literally all these people have one job, and they failed to do that. That's how you lose a game. Thanks, Raiders. See you next week. Coaching: Jack Del Rio is the coach that we've needed for years. He's ballsy, he makes great play calls, and he has the mentality of some old-school Raiders coaches and players. Del Rio followed up his gutsy two point conversion call last week with a 4th-and-goal call that went for a touchdown. Both involving Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, and Michael Crabtree. I'm seeing a trend here, and it's going to your playmakers in crunch time. This is a very very young team with a gutsy coach who believes in them. We're in good shape for the future. Check in next week when I summarize our match-up with the Tennessee Titans. --JAJ Action Jackson and I debate Von Miller Vs. Khalil back on who is the best OLB in the NFL
