Week 2 is hear and the shine of a new season has worn thin, and teams are getting down to the business of football. Week two began with the Buffalo defense making Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Joe Namath, as the Jets rolled the Bill's 37-30, leading to Greg Norman, the Buffalo coordinator getting the BOOT. On to my picks for Sunday. -CC Cowboys vs. Redskins (-3.5)The Washington R*dskins have shown that they are for real this year, with a consistent offense and defense that can get them 9-11 wins in a season, and a birth to the playoffs. With that being said, I love the combo of Prescott and Elliot in the backfield, with Dez outside and old faithful in Jason Witten, I think this team brings it together to go to Washington and take this one. My pick Cowboys +3.5 49ers Vs. Carolina (-13.5)This is gonna be a harsh comedown for my 49ers after that 28-0 route of the Ram's, who are abysmal. The panthers, quite simply, are not. They are pissed after losing week one, and look to take it out on a team that only a couple of years before, trounced them in the playoffs. Those days are gone and the 49ers are traveling to a beating in Carolina. The only real question left is whether or not the panthers will cover. 13.5 is a huge line, and if this was college football I'd be fine with that line, but this is the NFL and we don't see many games won by two tugs. If this was even, no question I'd go panthers, but because of the spread: My Pick 49ers +13.5 Titans Vs. Lions(-5.5)The spread on this makes a game that would be pretty boring something worth watching. While I'm not completely sold on Marriota and co, this seems like it would be one of the titans 3 wins in their perennial 3-13 season. The Lions just came off an upset victory over the Colts, and could have a let down game against the titans, who are hard to get excited for. At the end of the day, the lions just have a bit to much fire power for them even with this line. My pick Lions -5.5 Miami vs. New England (-5.5)Jimmy G and co are not to be trifled with, and they showed that last week going into AZ to get the W. As the nation wondered how the team would react sans TB12 (#freebrady) along with the late breaking news of an injured Gronk. Then they beat a top 4 team in the NFL and silenced the haters. I expect them to do the exact same thing against Miami, outside of Suh injuring every QB they have on their roster. My Pick Patriots -5.5 Saints vs. Giants (-4)I maybe one of the few people left in America not on the OBJ train, but I am not a fan of his early Coronation as the best receiver in the NFL, I still see AB and Julio Jones as a good amount better than him, and Dez being about the same level. I see this as an opportunity for the Saint's to pull off the upset here. My Pick Saints +4 Kansas City vs. Houston (-1.5)I'm huge on the texans this year, love to see the Watt Clowney combo actually healthy, which keeps offensive lines up at night. On the offensive side, Oswiler gives that receiving core, led by DeAndre Hopkins, a solid QB to get them the ball consistently. Kansas City also brings a stout defense to the table that will make it very hard for the Texans to get anything on the ground. Jamal Charles is still a problem on offense, but Alex Smith is still Alex Smith, very middle of the road. My Pick Houston -1.5 Baltimore vs. Cleveland (+1.5)This ones pretty simple. I will never be picking Cleveland off principle. My Pick Ravens -1.5 Cincinnati vs. Pittsburg (-3.5)This is a matchup I've been looking forward to for awhile, 2 high powered offenses that have elite receivers (AB, AJ green) and QB's who can sling the ball. While it is unfortunate that Leveon Bell is still suspended for this one, Deangelo William's has been more than holding down the fort in his absence. I am hammering the over here, as neither of these teams have much of a defense to speak of. The Steelers fire power is too much here for the bengals to keep up with them. My Pick Steelers -3.5 Tampa Bay vs. Arizona (-7.5)Arizona is going to be pissed after a week one loss to the Bradyless pats, and while I do like what Tampa Bay has going on with Winston, Evans, and Jackson, they have a way to go if they're gonna reach the level of the Cardinals. Arizona is simply better at every position, and they are PISSED OFF. Easy win for Arizona. My Pick Arizona -7.5 Seattle vs. Los Angeles (+3.5)Someone in Vegas was drunk when they made this line, because the Ram's coming within 3.5 after getting smacked 28-0 by the 49ers the week before is BANANA'S!!! Seattle is still a top 3 team in the NFL and the Rams are mediocre at best, with my IMMORTAL LOCK, I pick: My Pick Seahawks -3.5 Jags vs. Chargers -2.5As I said last week, I am HUGE on the Jags this year, and they proved me right last week by almost beating Green Bay, in a game that was theirs to lose. I am loving this line as I do not see anything to attractive about sand diego this year. My pick Jags +2.5 Atlanta vs. Oakland (-6.5)With my boy Action Jackson worlds colliding with this one, I'm loving what I saw week one out of the raiders, beating a pretty good Saints team. I've been pretty clear on how how high I am on Julio Jones, but the rest of the team comes nowhere close to the level he plays at. The 6.5 is giving me pause, as that is pretty rich for an NFL line. While I think the Raiders will win, I do not foresee them covering. My Pick Atlanta +6.5 Colts vs. Denver (-4)The Bronco's showed they were not gonna sit around and cry about losing Peyton at Qb, Oswieler to the Texans, and having to start Trevor Siemien at QB, by going out and beating the Panthers. The colts on the other hand were underwhelming in a loss to the Lions. I see the Broncos having a bit of a letdown here, and while they might still win, I do not see them covering -4. My Pick Colts +4 Green Bay vs. Minnasota (+2.5)This is a game I was looking forward to before the Season began, as both teams would have all their weapons back, shaping up for a great rivalry game with 2 of the better teams in the NFL. Then, Bridgewater had that crazy freak injury and now there is a QB debate involving Sam Bradford, never a good sign for your team. Green Bay may have struggled a bit vs. the jags, but I do not see them having those same problems vs. the Vikings. The question comes down to the Packers ability to stop Adrian Peterson, and without Bridgewater, Green Bay can load up the box with 8 guys on every play to slow him down. My pick Green Bay (-2.5) That's it for my Sunday picks, Monday night picks will come out on Monday morning.
