Welcome to the weekly NFL pickem', all the picks you need to make this season a great one betting wise (disclaimer: no official expertise, take picks with a grain of salt, ETC.) Bucs Vs. ATL (-2.5)This one is shaping up to be a high scoring, passing game with a matchup of a couple great wideouts in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson against an elite one in Julio Jones. While I like think Jameis Winston and crew have the potential to be pretty good down the road, that is at the very least a year or two away. Both teams defense are subpar at best, outside of Lavonte David who is a PROBLEM. Devonte Freeman is a yards machine on offense, Matty Ice is still ice cold, and they just have too much offensive fire power for the bucs. My pick ATL(-2.5) Vikings(-2.5) vs. TitansEven with Teddy Bridgewater going out for at-least a year on the one of the crazy weird injuries ever this team is still full of a lot of weapons, AP still holds the crown of best RB in the NFL and their defense is stout. While I like what Mariota brings to the table, the titans still might be the worst team in the league. My pick Minnesota (-2.5) Philadelphia (-3.5) vs. ClevlandYou could not pay me to watch this game, this hold no intrest for me. I'm giving RGIII in Cleveland a HARD pass, he's already washed up and is in the land where QB's go to die which is Cleveland. The only thing that gives me pause with this pick is the 3.5 line, because this could deffently be a field goal game, but I think the Eagles are just better enough to take this one. My Pick Eagles -3.5 Bengals (-2.5) vs. JetsThe bengals are on there way to their perpetual first round playoff exit beginning this week vs. the Jets. Aj Green has solidified his spot as a a top 5 receiver in the NFL without a doubt, and the red riffle Andy Dalton is progressing nicely as a QB. The Jets defense is stout, but having Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB1 is an absolute Joke. My Pick Bengals (-2.5) Raiders vs. Saints (-1)I'm huge on the Raiders this year, I think their defense will keep the score's low, anchored by one of the most dominant forces in the NFL, Khalil Mack who was second only to JJ Watt last year in sacks. Their 3 pronged attack of Carr, Murray, and Cooper can be LEATHAL this year. The saints still have Brees and therefore still have an aggressive passing attack. The raiders are just too much for Brees and co here. My pick Raiders (+1) San Diego vs. Kansas City (-6.5)The Chiefs have some fire power this year, have the chance to make a lot of noise in the west. San Diego, while having the grittiest dude in the NBA in Danny Woodhead, a top 10 all time sex haver in Phillip Rivers with 8 kids in between playing QB, and megadiva Joey Bosa finally signed. While I don't know if that is enough to get the job done, I LOVE them against the spread. With my IMMORTAL LOCK MY PICK Chargers (+6.5) Buffalo vs. Baltimore (-3)Buffalo is underrated by a lot of experts this year. They bring back their boy's on defense, Shady is back in affect, Sammy Watkins is a Problem, and T-moblie is just getting better every year. Baltimore on the other hand, has nothing discernible going for them, JOE FLACO IS NOT ELITE, they are a team that is over the hill. This is an easy pick for me. My Pick Buffalo +3 Bears vs. Texans (-5.5)At least Chicago has the Cubs, the best team in baseball, because the Bears will be garbage this year. At this point, I feel bad for Alshon Jeffery for being stuck on Chicago the same way I feel for Navorro Bowman on my 49ers. Houston on the other hand are on there way up, finally getting a solid QB even if he's named Brock, a running back who wont get injured every 20 minutes with Lamar Miller, and a top 5 receiver in DeAndre Hopkins. I love the pick up of Braxton Miller, who can be used as a jack of all trade athlete who can add some electricity to the team. The defense is STOUT, led by the best defensive player in the NFL (fight me, jack) JJ Watt. With Clowney , Wilfork, and Cushing back there as well your not running on them, it just wont happen. The spread is pretty high, but I couldn't be swayed on this one. My Pick Texans (-5.5) Green Bay vs. Jacksonville (+5)Green Bay is still a perennial power, and now that they get Jordy back their passing attack will be lethal. They may have some defensive questions, but they are a playoff team. I don't know what it is, but this jag's team makes me wanna root for him, Blake Bortles is the most affable QB in the league, who gives real answers and is actual funny not QB funny. Hurns, Robinson, Thomas, and Yeldon are all lethal weapons who are on the upswing of their career. This week, I'm jaggin off. My Pick Jacksonville (+5) Miami vs. Seattle (-10.5)I really, really dislike the Seahawks. To my inner core, I want nothing but failure for them. I would rather see them go 0-16 then see my niners go 16-0. Unfortunately we have to get back to reality, this Seahawks team is really, REALLY good. Easily the best secondary in the NFL, and an aggressive, athletic front 7 who can get home in an instant. Miami is still a young team with pieces that still need development. Even though this spread is bonkers, Seattle should handle Miami easily. My Pick Seattle (-10.5) Giants vs. Cowboys (-1)This week comes down to one thing: Is Dak Prescott for real? He showed flashes throughout the preseason, but that means jack shit now that week 1 comes around. His backfield mate, Zeke, also a rookie, makes for the most inexperienced backfield in the NFL. Luckily, they are behind THE BEST offensive line in the NFL and Dak has Witten and Dez Bryant. Eli and Co are a different story, they are a little more experienced as a unit, and have the slight edge in star receiver with Odell Beckham Jr. The Cowboy's might end up with a better season, but I refuse to pick a rookie QB week 1. My pick Giants (+1) Lions vs. Colts (-3)I'm going to keep this one short and to the point. This is Andrew Luck's year, he will be a Top 3 QB by the end of this year without a doubt in anyone's mind. My Pick Colts (-3) Patriots vs. Cardinals (-7)What had once shaped up to a great week one matchup has been ruined by fascist Goodell and an injured Gronk. While I still have the pats taking it all, they will be getting creamed by the Cardinals week one, another top 3 team in NFL. It is unfortunate the NFL's Donald Trump Roger Goodell has deprived the NFL of a great machup. My Pick Cardinals (-7) There we have it folks, week one picks in the books. I will pick Monday's two games on Sunday night. Until then, enjoy week one of NFL football.
