Happy hump day to all, and welcome back to your favorite way to pick up some mid week cash. Last week I went 3-2 thanks to a last second backdoor cover by the hornets, and you all know any day in the positive is a good day. Without further ado, lets get to the picks. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers (+3)Unfortunately, we were all witnesses to Lebron blowing a game winning layup before hitting an INSANE 3 to tie the game with the Wizard to send them to overtime where they would eventually win. We relearned what we always knew, Lebron is good at basketball. Paul George, on the other hand, has not lived up to his superstar billing, dropping a relatively pedestrian 22.5, 6.1 and 3.3 on a team where he is the #1 option by a mile. As much as it pains me.... MY Pick Cavs -3 Lakers vs. Pistons (-7)I'm picking this game because I LOVE the spread: 2 relatively mediocre teams with a giants spread screams $ signs at me. While on paper the lakers have a much worse record, if you look at who the teams have to play (Detroit in the east, LA in the west) this should be a much closer game than advertised. MY Pick Lakers +7 Raptors vs. T-Wolves +4I think the love of the young core the Wolves have has left their value highly inflated. All their "stars" are super young and KAT is the only legit powerhouse. Wiggins seems like a glorified Terrance Ross, who gets extra hype because of being a #1 pick. The raptors are real, with a top 3 backcourt duo and a solid frontcourt. MY pick Raptors -4 Jazz Vs. Pelicans +4The Jazz have been rolling and the pelicans have not. Simply put, the jazz are a more complete teams and I will continue to pick them until they lose for me. MY Pick Jazz -4 Bulls vs. Warriors -17My LEAST favorite pick of the week is still always the Warriors, because the spreads are huge and you have no idea which team will show up. In fact, the warriors are 24-28 against the spread this season. Jimmy Buttler not playing also leads me to think the Warriors might not bring their A game, but the fact that they lost the previous game offsets that. Take this with a grain of salt, but my pick is... MY pick Warriors -17 This concludes this weeks picks, may the spread be forever in your favor.

My love of slam ball has been well documented and I've been talking shit about how I would dominate in every fashion if I got on the slam ball court. This video brought me 1000 percent back to reality, because the pure lack of athleticism showcased in all of its slow motion glory is pretty much exactly what I think I would look like out there. Either way, thank GOD for the last dude giving me some hope. Enjoy.

Time to Pick Some winnersAs the College football season ended and the NFL has gotten down to the last game of the season, the gambling season never ends, so I am rolling out a new franchise of NBA Wednesdays Pick em where I will Pick (and bet on) 4-5 games every Wednesday by the spread. 76ers vs. Mavericks (-7.5)Two of the more bottom of the barrel teams face off In a mix of teams led by big guys, with Dirk leading the Mavs and #theprocess Joel Embid on the come up. I was surprised to see this line, making my choice a little easier. Even though the Mavs have been on a bit of a hot streak lately, I would be surprised if they got up for the 76ers, leading me to think this will be a close game. My Pick 76ers +7.5 Clippers -3 vs. SunsThis would be a vastly higher line if the clippers team was healthy, but with CP3 out and blake still coming off an injury, this makes for an interesting game with the upstart Suns led by Devin Booker and his ability to score at will. The Clippers are still licking their wounds after being 44 pieced by the Warriors, should come out ready and raring to establish they deserve to be a top 4 West Team. My Pick Clippers -3 Bucks Vs. Jazz -7.5This is gonna shape up to be a great matchup of two teams that play relatively the same style, even though the jazz do it with more success. The Jazz have shot up to 5th in the west while the bucks are 9th in the lowly east, and even though I love giannis antetokounmpo's (yes i googled the spelling) game, the jazz are just further along in their development. MY Pick Jazz -7.5 Chicago Bulls vs Oklahoma City Thunder (-4)This game brings together 2 of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA, while Russ has completely taken over the Thunder valuing stat chasing more than wins, the Bulls locker room has imploded with constant infighting that has no end in sight. A team that takes shots on instagram is not one with a winning formula. MY Pick Thunder -4 Hornets vs. Warriors (-15.5)Let me make one thing clear before I make my pick: I absolutely HATE betting on the warriors. They always have ridiculously high lines and you have no idea which Golden State team will come out in play. If the Warriors play to their highest ability, they beat this team by 30 everytime, but that is not always the case. With steph coming off the flu, and maybe one of the core 8 players sitting, while I think the warriors will win.... My Pick Hornets +15.5 This wraps up my weekly NBA Pick em, good luck to all, and may the spread be forever in your favor. -CC Content ConleyThe Bay, Gambiling, and everything in between |
